Need Klingon help: Suitable name for FASA-style Fusion Klingons

    Need some help.

After our big convention this week in our area, my group is planning to reform. Among the games on the table (beyond our usual mix of Unisystem and d20) is Star Trek. I am pumped as I have been steadily getting back into gaming after my burnout and want to play or gamemaster something again.

Now if I run Star Trek is going to be from the TOS era (a reminagined TOS which combines asthetics from both Enterprise and TWOK/TSFS movies). My continuity is also going to borrow from CODA, ICON, and FASA eras of RPG.

Now, part of my series canon is elements of FASA's Klingons book - particularly the Human-Fusion Klingons explanation for the smooth headed dudes in the TOS era. Basically there is a sub-race of Klingons that have spliced human DNA and have adopted Federation like customs, which explains why TOS Klingons are much wear different uniforms, fly grey-coloured smooth D-7s, are more devious and are clearly without Dk'Tangs, Batleths, and that in-your-face glory-and-honor that they are famous for.

So, what I need from some of you Klingon Scholars is a name for these Fusion Klingons. Something to denote that half-breed heritage - maybe even something derogatory that the Imperial Klingons use for the Fusions which the Fusions have adopted just to spite them (and show their sneering animosity for their pureblood brothers).

Anyone have any ideas as I have little knowledge of Klingon...

I remember the FASA stuff correctly. (It's been 20 years.) Once a race is considered "conquered" and sufficient Klingon DNA has entered the gene-pool. They are considered Klingon thru and thru. And the Imperial race will consider them full Klingon. There is no difference between Fusion and full Imperial Klingon.

But as for names, I prefer to use one syllable names like: Chang, Kang, or Krang or Terk. Any name ending with a "ng" or a "k" seem to work well.

I should be more specific. I am looking of a name for the Fusion Klingons race other than "Fusion". Something in the Klingon language.

In my universe the Fusion Klingons were an experiment that went horribly wrong. Most of them were exiled or killed by the Imperial Klingons. I probably going to offer a Fusion as a race in my campaign, if the group accepts it over the other RPG candidates.

Here's what I used in a recent episode I ran. Anything to describe an off-shoot of a species, you add the suffix "Dip". For example, my NPC's encountered a "Dip'Targ". A mutated Targ that was being used as a guide animal for a blind Klingon.

So, you could have your Fusion Klingons called... Dip'Kling.

    Just an idea.

    prophetsteve,
Based on months of web research, and many other people's speculation may present:

    Komerex Klingon (Ridges)
    Dexi-Klingon (Smooth)

Enjoy, I'd give credit to others but there a way too many.
