    New product cover shots

I got the latest issue of the LOTR Fan Club magazine in the mail today, and in the inside back cover was a full page ad for new RPG products. Paths of the Wise and Helm's Deep were featured.

Both have a release date of September, which shows that Decipher's marketing department is on the ball, as ever.

I'm really anxious for these books to come out, so that I can finally start talking about them with y'all.

I take it they are interesting, then?

Man, that playtester job must be cool.

By the way, I was wondering if you knew how to put pictures in your profile? Not really the right place to ask, sorry, but your picture made me think of it. Thanks!

Very cool looking stuff man, very cool indeed

Did anyone pick up the two maps sets? Are they worth it?

    Oh yeah, almost forgot.

The only real downer I've seen to being a playtester (which isn't really a job since it's done gratis) is that I can't discuss the great contents until they've hit stores.

As for posting images into posts, it's easy. You can also stick images into your sig file, at least until Don decides to disallow that.

It's simple HTML programming. I can 'splain if you need to know.

The first map set is nice; I make much use of it in my chronicle.

I also got the second map set, and the maps are lovely. Haven't found a use for them yet, but I just have to find a way to use them. The booklet that came with the second map set is chock-full of useful stuff, esp. the material on the port of Umbar and the Corsairs. I highly recommend it, even moreso than map set 1.

As for playtesting, I was just in the right place at the right time. Matt Colville mentioned it on the Decipher boards, and I was all over it.

    [puts on three-cornered hat]

Ar, matey, I was there at the same time too, and e-mailed ole' Matty. Ar, but it didn't work out, they said in the post not to worry if we didn't get e-mailed back, and aye, laddy, I didn't get e-mailed back. Too bad, I would have liked it right well.

    [takes off hat]

I remember that post well, but I wasn't one of the chosen.
