Okay, apparently your using the maps from StDimension, thus making the question irrevalent.

Rim: Rimward of Sol; ie away from the galaxy, towards the likes of the Pleiades

Trailing: Opposite of Spinward. Out Canopus way and of the Romulans and Klingons.

Core: Coreward; toward the galaxy centre and the likes of Antares.

Spin: Spinward; Deneb, Cardassions etc.
