Crew Requirements?

How do we determine how many crew members fill each department? We know the total crew compliment, but how many folks in each? I'm certain there are percentages for such things.

How's this?
Engineering/Ops 40%
Science 20%
Medical 30%
Command 10%

Thoughts?

What class of ship is it? The ratios depend on the type of ship (i.e. Explorer, Science, Medical, Scout).

And to whom it belongs!
far fewer scientists on a klingon ship than on a vulcan ship, or even just a federation one.

And speaking of science officers, I'd say there are far more of those than of medical officers. After all, 20 medical officers on a galaxy class, means something like 1 doctor for each 50 crew members (ok, maybe 53, still, far less than 60), while a normal, GP doctor is normally rated for what, 200 persons?
Even hospitals often have something like 1 doctor for each 30 beds or something, if I recall correctly.
