Out of respect for Brian and Liz, I'm leaving this thread, too.

I'm not going to tell anyone to stay and do anything when they don't want to ... but I think things went downhill *after* the thread was locked, when another thread was crafted for the purpose of complaining about it, and basically demanding that it be unlocked (not asking).

Things fell off a cliff when 'Elizabeth' appeared and started boasting about how she could get back on anytime she wanted, and get around any ban attempt.

This I see as analogous to letting someone swim in your pool, then they leave a lot of trash lying around, come back the next day and demand you let them swim there again, then when you tell them "no", they say "No problem, I'll just climb the fence." It's certain to get a poor reaction.

I don't agree with the moderator's original action, because I don't favor pre-emptive action. However, it's not censorship because this isn't a public forum -- it belongs to Don.

I especially don't respect the way in which Liz handled the aftermath of the thread's closure. It wasn't very mature.

    My $0.02, as always.

Yeah well........this has turned into a major pile of bollocks now.

If there was another TrekRPG forum with loads of people that contribute to the gaming (both LUG and CODA and FASA) I'd join that and leave this cess-pool in a cold second.

No doubt I'll get banned now.

First of Two's $0.04 (worth twice as much as your average two cents' worth)

I pretty much agree with everything Fesarius said.

It was a mistake to close the thread early, BUT, it was a much bigger mistake to react to that closure the way that they did, with that tantrum.

The thread can be (and was) reopened.

But the stuff in that other thread (and in whatever PM's were thrown about - I wasn't involved) can't be un-said.

At the end of the day all, it's over and done with now. I'll still be visiting & posting 'cause i'm a narrator, and this is a good site for ideas, plots, & whacky/loonie schemes, plus the occasional bit of fun.

Sorry to see anyone go, but at the end of the day, star trek is something i do fo fun. And i plan to keep it that way.

    Just another ha'pennys worth.

Looks like the threads all about done JonA, pity really, however, on a side note. Your initial post says last one to post wins.

I never did find out what the prize was
