Are there any websites with good conversions, forward and backward between the various systems? I would like to retain a lot of FASA(especially Starship combat), but would like to add some of the new material as well.

Your one stop shop for conversions is Owen Oulton's Adventure Gaming in the Star Trek Univers . Owen's Star Trek Universe is geared toward the ICON system, but provides several conversions from other sytems, minus CODA.
You will find conversions under the Star Trek: Universe section, then under Game Conversion Tables.

Bear in mind that most of these are geared toward converting the core concepts of a character - further work is required to flesh them out, including such things as Renown and Advantages/Disadvantages. As I note on the page, converting a character is much more art than science.

Excellent, thanks for the link. How is star ship combat handled in the other, newer systems?
