Thread: On forum Game

    The species breakdown, last I heard, was:

    CO = Human
    XO = Human
    CEO = Klingon
    COS = Klingon

    What are our CSO and CMO? And will we have a Bolian Chief of Operations as well?

    Okay, that's it, my character has finally been posted. Sorry everyone for the delay, I had a rather rough time recently.

    Hey everyone, I'd still like to join if I can. I too have had some school-related business this past week. Fortunately, it looks like you haven't started yet.

    Sounds like I'd be playing the Chief of Ops. I could use my Bolian character, but on re-reading the setting description, I think I could come up with something more appropriate for a Klingon/Federation junkyard on the frontier. Mot the Barber doesn't strike me as the type. I think I'll make something a little more rough and tumble, like an Andorian... trading one blue skin for another.

    Ltcmdrmatt, does an Andorian character sound okay for the setting? I'll put together the character right now and email you the character sheet today for you to look over for approval.

    Fear not, we understand. Life has a way of throwing you curves, especially when you were not even aware you were at bat and playing baseball.

    I'm waiting patiently too, but let me just say... Let the games begin!

    Ltcmdrmatt, like I said... if you need any assistance with GM/Narrator responsibilities, I'll be more than happy to help out.

    "The Pit" - Fan Fiction, Anyone?

    A refit Defiant-Class vessel, the Anarchy, is assigned to what ended-up being euphemistically labelled as "The Pit", for obvious reasons. Starfleet's post Nemesis last-resort.

    Run by a batch of disillusioned, glory-deprived, drunkard Klingons that either don't know or don't care about the Khitomer Accords or the newly appointed Ambassador Worf & Chancellor Martok.

    The discipline problems of the Alpha Quadrant Alliance have each been singled out for demotion for a variety of reasons, (personal hygiene, sexist braggers, or insubordination, among their issues,) by their superiors, & shunted to the Klingon junkyard without being told very much about the details of their new duty position until its too late to back out.

    The old science vessel assigned to the station to perform rudimentary bureaucratic tasks between The Pit & Kronos, is a dangerously neglected old rustbucket that's currently barely capable of reaching full-impulse by the time it reaches the perimeter of the solar system.

    They hunger to be true warriors despite their embarrassing lot in life.

    The Senior Klingons often endeavour to leave the Borg alone in the hopes they'll reciprocate when the occasional Cube shows up to liberate raw materials & components from their stock.

    The S.C.E. Team assigned to this hayseed civilization has its work cut out for them.

    The Pit - U.S.S. Anarchy

    The Anarchy, a conjectural Klingon-ized Defiant-Class. Built as but one of many experiments in different trial & error attempts to make Federation & Non-Federation preferences & technologies compatible, affordable & user-friendly in the heat of battle.

    An ultimately rejected wargame model used versus other more contemporary escort designs (i.e.: The B'rel-Class B.O.P.) until the High Command settled on a more consistant configuration --- the "Klalath-Class"). The Anarchy is far more utilitarian as a quick strike vessel than its similarily-designed precursors, the U.S.S. Valiant, U.S.S. Sao Paulo & U.S.S. Defiant.

    The Pit - Neglected Klingon Vessel.

    The old Raptor-Class science vessel I.K.V. B'atleth is a decrepit untrustworthy equivalent to a Korean War jeep & nobody around The Pit cares. Well...since they're all on the verge of cutting their own throats from personal embarrassment & shame from the lack of opportunity to earn their way into Sto'vo'kor anyway.

    Exclamation

    Um... Hellsgate, this thread is for a specific play-by-post campaign which Lt Cmdr Matt is developing, not the posting of general announcements. You might want to ask a forum moderator to move your stuff to a new, separate thread so more people will see it.

    Thumbs up

    Dear Rac',
    I was hoping you'd use these ideas in your play-by-post RPG. I love creative writing & was hoping that if (for any reason) your p-b-p RPG didn't work out & sputtered out, your group would authorize me to use your RPG ideas combined with mine for a fan fic (maybe a "Star Traks" parody?) What do you think?

    I have to imagine Lt Cmdr Matt has established sufficient narrator-character and setting details already, but thanks for the offer.

    I prefer that my characters remain my own, thank you... it's a little thing called "intellectual property". Surely you have no pressing need to purloin others' characters and stories, being a wellspring of creativity yourself?
