    Steam Trek

Check this out: A steam-punk / Star Trek hybrid.

Ęther, the final frontier. . .

These are the voyages of Her Majesties Ęther Ship Dauntless. Our mission, to explore romantic new worlds, seek out life, and expand civilization, to boldly go where no gentleman has gone before.

Yeah, I saw this several months back (posted here, I think). Interesting story that seems to grow out from the Space:1889 premise, but the gameplay was halting and couldn't keep my interest.

    Good idea, bad execution.

Hmm. First there was Stone Trek and now Steam Trek. Well, I guess the next logical progression is Steel Trek.
    Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...

    And besides, he's an anti-French

But the concept in itself is really interesting... I wonder how I could plug that in a regular ST campaign... Maybe a star system where subspace has very strange properties that can allow a crude ship to move at near-warp speeds (like the anomaly that allowed Sisko to reach Cardassia with a space sailship), as well as a lot of inhabited M-class planets. Now enters a Federation ship that's disabled by the strange subspace conditions.

    Mmmmh.....

P.S. Psst. Thank goodness StyroFoam Man isn't thinking of developing a "Styro Trek" project.

    Talking

    PolyStyrene Trek?
A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.
