Whovians: A question about "Dr. Who: Scream Of The Shalka" (Spoiler)

A quick question for all those who know Doctor Who continuity better than I:

I just finished watching the final episode of the BBCi Flash-animated story Scream Of The Shalka starring Richard E. Grant (Bram Stoker's Dracula, Gosford Park) as the voice of the ninth Doctor.

What I want to know is: Is there a story in any media (comics, novels, audio adventures, etc.) which explains how The Master ended up aboard The Doctor's TARDIS in an android body ?

Well, I have read most of the novels, I collected the comics for a while, and was a huge fan of the TV series (thought Fox's movie was passable) and I have the RPG and I have to say...I have no clue what you are talking about. But, then I haven't seen "Scream of Shalka."

    What is a "Shalka" anyway?
