What Did Everybody Get For Christmas

Or Hannukah, or Kwanzaa, or other gift giving holidays in late December.

    I got:

LOTR: The Two Towers DVD Extended Version
    Matrix Reloaded DVD
X-Men and X-Men2 DVD box set
    2 really nice fleece pullovers
    $50 Gift Card for Books-A-Million
a $50 dollar bill (It was the right color and fit, so I kept it )

(And all I asked for was the Creatures book from Decipher. Which I didn't get. But I can get it with the $50. )

Time for wallowing in materialism, I see. OK, if we're going to wallow, let's wallow!

    I received:

    1) Shogun: The Mini-Series DVD set (w/ Richard Chamberlain, Toshiro Mifune)
    2) The first season of Forever Knight on DVD
    3) Bram Stoker's Dracula on SuperBit DVD
    4) A Tibetan Buddhist prayer flag
    5) A new wallet
    6) An emergency cell phone recharger
    7) Some cash from which I bought a stack of books at a bookstore that was having a going-out-of-business sale.

Of course, the best Christmas present I received I gave to myself: A decent semester grade point average! All in all, its been a good holiday and I don't return for my final semester of school until Jan 20th! BFA in Graphic Design here I come!

12/29/03 Update: Add to my list a 2-disc DVD set of 2nd season Farscape episodes received from my friend Jon today.

    Let's see;

    1) PDA
    2) Indiana Jones Trilogy on DVD.
    3) Usual assortment of new clothes.
    3) "Mission Compromised"- A novel by Oliver North w/ Joe Musser. Pretty good so far, very Clancy-ish.

Have to agree, a pretty good Day.

Hmm... Well, the missions I flew on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day both started and ended on time. Since most of our missions run late, I consider that my holiday present.

Hopefully, some packages will catch up with me soon.

Well the coolest gift was seeing my daughter beginning to understand it was a special day (19 months old). She had a blast playing with her letter blocks and was saying some of the letters. Almost ready to move from blocks to d6's...

For physical loot, my wife and daughter got me the Complete Farside and the Loony Tunes Golden Collection DVD. From other friends and relatives I received Neverwhere DVD, Planet of the Apes TV show DVD, new Bowie CD, some clothing, Jules Verne's Magellania, and a Barnes and Noble Gift Certificate (which has been transformed into an order for Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 5 DVD)

I didn't like some of the "new" footage stuck in, but watching the original version in a smoky living room sure brought back some memories of my schoolin' daze.

Oh yeah, did anyone else buy their wife a cordless drill?

    And get thanked for it?
