    [CODA] Miranda class typo?

I'm just wondering whether there is a typo in the Miranda class statistics in Starfleet Operations Manual. In this book, she has 8 photon torpedo tubes, giving her 7/7/7/7/7 penetration. Looking at the studio model of the standard Miranda class ship, the Reliant model from Star Trek II, I can't for the life of me see more than four torpedo tubes, which would make her penetration a still very respectable (especially for a 23rd century ship) 5/5/5/5/5.

Has the book given the Miranda double the torpedo tubes by mistake? My crew is on board a Miranda class ship, and I only noticed what I presume is a typo when I realised how devastating their torpedoes were!

The Miranda class isn't in Starships.

Here's how I resolved the issue on the Miranda. She's the fourth ship down on the list.

I always considered the version of the Miranda in the SOM to be the result of someone who didn't actually design the ship meddling with the final numbers.

Unfortunately, most of the ships in the SOM don't quite fit. I've been meaning to get some official errata on that, but other things ahve gotten in the way...
