The only one I know of is Adobe Acrobat, but I imagine there are others.

Anyone can download a free copy of Fine Print pdfFactory Pro.

Once installed, it allows you to print your documents, no matter what you make them with, to pdf form. I have been using it for about six months without problems.

The only problem I have is that if you try using too many of the features. . .it posts an ad and e-address for the download page at the bottom of every page of the pdf. If you dont get too feature heavy with the work it leaves them out.

I just did a google search to see what's out there besides PDF and I found this page: http://www.pdf995.com/ I am using Acrobat, but the feature list of this one looks really good. Since the program is a printer driver plug-in it should be compatible with any program/file type.
Please tell me, if it worked.

I believe there's also a QuarkXpress Xtension that allows importing and exporting of PDF formats directly from QuarkXpress. I think it's a third-party Xtension. You might want to begin looking here:

I've just found this yesterday, when I was looking for a way to convert vector graphics to pdf, without the drawbacks usually associated with freeware (or some bad commercial products).

    http://freepdfxp.de/fpx732.htm

I know, the site is German, but this shouldn't be a problem. According to the download site FreePDF allows you to select a German or an English interface.

Once you have installed both FreePDF XP and GhostScript they will work like Acrobat Distiller, which means you will be able to create real high quality PDF files by simply using the print feature of your source application.

    Other features are:

    - free of charge, no add-support
    - several quality settings
    - encrypted PDF with 40 and 128 bit
    - create PDF documents from office applications
    - Terminal Server support
    - merging of separate PDF douments

I just wanted to share this.
