First contact

Hi again

I ask so many questions, I realize I'm probably bugging everyone , I apology.

In my Enterprise era serie , I wish to give the opportunity to make some first contacts. I'd like to avoid to mess with the continuity of the movies / TV shows, but it seems that Kirk and Picard got all the first contacts. Archer has very little chance to make some, and each one he makes is lost for my beloved PCs.

Do you know which species they can possibly meet for the very first time in human history (well, perhaps Archer will make first contact with them later in the TV show but I suppose I'll have to live with that since we cannot possibly know what will happen yet.)

The simplest course to take, and this really is true of any pre-"End of the Dominion War" campaign, is to create your own races, planets and adventures. There are over 150 members of the Federation in Picard's time and many more neutral planets; and only a vanishingly small number of them have been mentioned, so you have a lot more freedom than you might think.

A few come to mind. Some of it depends on how religiously you want to follow what Decipher, LUG, and FASA have said about various aliens.

Though Archer has already had a brief encounter with Tholians, there seems to be potential to make use of them - perhaps having first contact with a Tholian "client state".

Orion pirates seem to be well known by the time of TOS - they might make for a good first contact.

Depending on if you accept them in your universe, the Kzinti of the animated series (and Niven's Known Space series) are said to have fought several wars against humanity.

Some of the background aliems seen in ST:TMP might make for good first contacts - the Zaranites come to mind.

Also some of the TNG staples could be good fodder for first contacts - some could easily have been members (or at least known) at the time of TOS. This could include Bolians and Betazoids.
