Talking I’m going to pay ‘Them’ a compliment…

As much as I bash ‘Them’ for non-creativity and general lack-of-talent (not too mention two God-Awful series, the last of which could classed as ‘Fugly’), I do admire ‘Their’ stubbornness and hard/pig-headedness:

See, even ‘They’ know the writing is on the wall, and it can’t just be painted over (where’s Sisko when you need him). UPN will try the new time slot, and when it fails (which it will...wonder what ‘Their’ excuse will be this time “We can’t complete with Ang…’er West Wi..., um”). Oh, and taking over Ain’t-a-prize’s old spot? A damn CGI cartoon, and The Mullets…joy:

Thing I want to know is; what network in their right-damn mind would plunk down 1mil+/ep. on this…atrocity (I’d use stronger words, but might children about).

For that matter, what make ‘Them’ think Paramount/Viacom might let ‘Them’ shop the show around…last time I looked, ‘They’ aren’t the licensers, Paramount is…and do you think Big ‘P’/‘V’ would let a show run in prime-time on a completing network?

(Oh, and with that compliment: Satan does skates to work…hell, you should see him in the third period, use to play for Edmonton too: http://www.nhl.com/lineups/player/8459534.html )

And, for what it’s worth; I hope the show gets canned, and Paramount does the same with ‘Them’. After that, Paramount goes publicly on record to state “this show…didn’t happen”. Paramount then should take a 3-5 year brake on everything Trek in terms of new movies and TV and retool (though, I’d keep the visual staff...Okuda, Westmore and Co. the only bright point anymore)
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...

    Truisms I know:
    1) Marvel is NOT better than DC (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘ULTIMITED’),
    2) D20 is NOT the best gaming system out there (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘crammed’ into it),
    3) And No matter how ‘THEY’ dress it up, Regardless of how ‘THEY’ title it, and even if ‘THEY’ say “BASED ON…”; “ENTERPRISE” IS NOT STAR TREK!!!
    4) 'Reality' T.V. ain't 'Real'

hi. i'm old and i hate enterprise. i watched the first episode in horror and it's gone down hill ever since. i'm still waiting for ent to get the star trek title music (i'm currently muting the tv for 2 minutes out of every random episode i watch).

for me it comes down to two simple truths. 1. star wars has the lightsabers (and it's cool). 2. star trek has the transporter and the federation (and they're cool).

enterprise has half of the equation. no, it's not star trek. it comes across more like andromeda than star trek.

besides, there's also the issue of: the tech looks 100 years ahead of tos era, the ship is a hybrid from tng era (akira anyone), many of the ships on the rerun last night/last week? looked like tng ships (steamrunner, etc).

the only way to bring the fans back is to give them what they want. some people like ent, good for them. hell, some tos fans hate tng. give both era's something to sink their teeth into...

fill in the blanks between tos and tng! (besides those red jackets kick ass all over the jumpsuits from tng).
