    Murphy's Rules

    The LotR RPG has made it into Murphy's Rules in this week's Pyramid magazine, on account of how a Balrog, doing max damage, takes two hits to kill an Orc.

    I prefer "Mook Rules." They don't require subscription and let that Balrog kill them in a single hit.

    Amen, Brother!

    You could even rule that some kinds of NPC monsters could treat certain PCs like mooks -- but somehow, it doesn't strike me as very "heroic"...
