    Good Sites...

    Hi Folks,

I'd like to introduce myself to these boards. My name is Jason, and I just purchased three of the LotR CODA books, the Core Book (I got it for $10 on e-bay!), the TT Sourcebook, and the FB&WM book. I have been a lurker at the rpg.net boards, and just found this one after clicking a few links. From what I have seen so far, I like the RPG and think it has lots of potential.

I was wondering if there are any good fan made sites for the RPG, or has it kind of stagnated? I am interested in reading up on any good info out there. Also, is anybody running any LotR online games? Play-by-post perhaps?

Also, is this the busiest forum for this game besides Decipher's board? Just curious, as I like to read message boards as well for stuff.

    Thanks for letting me ramble!

    Jason

Welcome! This board and Decipher's official LOTR RPG boards are, IMO, the best two message boards, and I think this one is a bit better since the software is better and allows for message archiving and post editing.

There are many good resources on this board; you'll have to check through the backlog of archived messages though, not just those from the past 30 days or so.

Look for the Hall of Fire material on these boards (you should be able to use the search function).

Also check out http://sauron.misled.us for some great resources. There are other sites, I just don't have the links handy.

    Have fun!

Thanks for all the great links. I just might be interested in that play-by-post game. I am a relative newbie to the Middle-earth stuff though, but I'm off to a fast start.
