Well, I don't think we'll this in the US toy market soon ... or EVER!

It has to undergo testing first.

Initially, I thought it was the advertisement, but then again, there is absolutely no way you can market this ludicrous item.

All in all, it is kinda funny (if all of this is meant as a joke ad). Won't be funny if they actually start to distribute that damn thing.

    That's so great...

    Cool

Hey! My dad was a janitor. Actually a custodian (before that he was a plantation worker), but he worked hard for a living and for his family. I should count my blessing that he is still alive today (84).

Question I want to know a couple of things....

Who was sick enough to design this infernal toy?
What corporate suits were so stupid as to greenlight the sale and manufacture this thing?
What parents would be so deranged as to buy this toy for their kids?
Finally, will enough people raise a stink to get this abomination off the market?
I think everyone here is looking at it from a Western perspective; That kind of toy wouldn't even get past the R&D phase in America. It's against our cultural values.

Now, in Japan, there isn't as great a social stigma against suicide as there is in the West; An honorable death is a good thing even if it is a suicide. Remember, although it was in decline, the Japanese feudal system and the Bushido code didn't start to fade away until the 1860's. There were samurai still about when America was fighting its Civil War. So, Japan has only had 150 years of major cultural change after over 1000 years of feudal rule.

Their culture has gone, and is going, through a paradigm shift; So, its no surprise that you end up with weird toys when new values meet old.
