[ICON] Creatures Question

On page 302 of TNG Corebook a template for the Bulgallian Rat is shown (I am just using this template as an example, my question is about all creature templates).

It lists the following:

Weapons: Teeth (2), Claws (3)
Difficulty: Moderate (6), Moderate (7)
Damage: 1d6+1, 1d6+1

So my question is: The difficulty and damage are listed, so what is the (2) and (3) for which are listed under weapons?

All the creature templates have some number listed behind any weapons the creature may have, but I can find no explain or use for them in the book.

According to the notes on page 276, it's the creature's skill with that natural weapon.

D'oh! How could I have overlooked something that important!? Thanks Owen. Could you double check that page number? I scanned over the page you have listed but could not see where you were reading. (Not that I don't believe you, I just want to see how obvious it was and kick myself for not finding it

That is the correct page, right up in the upper left corner. There's a paragraph bold-headed Special Abilities/Unusual Skills, with a sub-paragraph bold-headed Weapons. The info is buried in the middle of a sentence, and isn't particiularly clear...
