Post INFO ONLY : An Email from decipher of interest

    >A Question : What are Decipher going to do with the Star Trek RPG Licence ?
We have just hired the entire development team of the company formerly
known as Last Unicorn. They will form the RPG team, starting first with
Star Trek. We are anticipating the first two books sometime this fall.

Thanks for your interest in the Star Trek RPG.

    Best,
    Monica

I guess the question becomes: is it ICON or not?

Perhaps a murderer lurks in the darkness with a dagger!

As in Christian, Ross, Steven, & Kenneth? Does anyone know if they are confirmed or who else is on the ticket? Man, this could be a fantastic turn of events! Even if they came up with a new system they could add conversion notes to new material so we could use it with our existing books. That would most certainly go a long ways toward smoothing over hard feelings from the fans. Oh wow, this is wonderful news!

I guess that means you need to download your free Trek books while you can folks!

I only intended to post the email to give info to you all but I agree its good news for Trek all round. ANYTHING that keeps the spirit of alive is worth fighting for and as a games designer myself I know what its like to work on a project only to have the game go belly up or have your hard work passed on to someone else and they get the credit. So hats off to all involved in this "Network", especially to Don & John S., thanks for your time guys and to anyone who can be bothered to post. It shows you care and thats what really matters at the end of the day. Personally I am not a huge fan of the ICON system but the heart that has gone into it MAKES me want to use it....Thats why I haven`t converted it over to GURPS or D20 or Alternity. I got a bit off course there but I am sure you can see my points.
