It varies by the day, honestly. It's actually been better lately than the past year or so...Originally Posted by Don Mappin

In D&D3E, Abyssal is not the language of evil vacuum cleaners.
Apparently release dates for the Decipher product lines were given at GAMA/GTS (annual trade show).
Note the lack of any Star Trek products.

Even the Lord of the Rings RPG didn't get what was expected (one release every two months starting in April).
Okay, here is what my FLGS owner heard at GAMA (I only had a few minutes to chat, but I'm assuming this came from a Decipher rep):
Apparently, Nickelodean now has the RPG license, which Decipher has to go through for all of its Trek approvals...so, when asked, Nick shuffles off to its lawyers to determine if it's something that they need to care about.
Davy Jones
"Frightened? My dear, you are looking at a man who has laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom, and chuckled at catastrophe! I was petrified."
-- The Wizard of Oz
The first new TrekRPG book will be "You Can't Do That On Star Trek", all about what is and is not Trek. There will be a Monster Manual with a monster called "Green Slime". The Alien Nazis will be labelled "The Tomorrow People".
The Tomorrow People....now theres a series I haven't thought about in years
A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.
Academician Prokhor Zakharov, "Now We Are Alone"
There was actually a remake, but as far as I can tell it had nothing to do with the original.

Not exactly. Nickelodeon, another Viacom subsidiary, is now handling licensing for all Viacom properties. They don't have the license, they administer the licence.
The second new TrekRPG product will be an adventure module entitled "Double Dare"
what i heard from GAMA the new company receiving the license is moving very slow and seems to want to delay any announcement until everything is lined up.

Well maybe IF someone is actually doing something and they're moving slow they're doing it right, although I think everyone else has done it right too, at least at first, maybe somehow these new guys are figuring out how to make it last.
What new company? Are you referring to Nickelodeon who's now handling licensing?Originally Posted by jened

My thoughts exactly, Don. Care to explain, jened?Originally Posted by Don Mappin

let me see if i can find the email. i don't think it was talking about the change of licensing but maybe i interpreted it wrong. it seemed like newer info as the paramount changes were mentioned weeks ago. i'll post back tomorrow.
