Just thought this would be an interesting one...
I voted for Deanna. As much as I like Ezri, that naive, charming smile would make me nervous whenever I came in for a session
Deanna Troi
Ezri Dax

I'll lie down on Ezri's sofa any day!
I'm going off the board and choosing Bones. Remember, you tell your bartender things you don't tell your shrink. Besides, I'm certainly not thinking about my troubles when I'm on Ezri's couch.

Hmmm... naive Ezri or Deanna who could read my mind...
Can I have mirror universe Ezri? She seemed to have a unique approach to counseling...

She's only empathic, so she could only read your emotions... and if she read MY emotions while I was on that sofa, she'd probably report me to Picard faster than you could say "mentally unstable."Originally posted by Dan Stack

To be fair, Guinan ought to be included too. Has anyone ever done a comparison to see who solved the most personal problems on screen? I'm guessing Guinan would come out ahead of Deanna.
I'm going to agree with the Tyger and vote for Bones. "One of your better prescriptions, Doctor."

So typical.
The poll did not mentioned Guinan.
Either way, I would have preferred McCoy, unless my problem is of a sexual nature. And only then, whatever mood I'm in ... the Disciplined School Teacher (Troi) or the Curious Student (Dax).
Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...

Tough one... guess Troi might be shocked by my feelings while Ezri would not even need empathic senses to know them
Let's settle for Troi. More experienced, and it would be fun to interact with a telepath. With Ezri as councellor, I'd leave the sessions with more problems than I came in with
"The main difference between Trekkies and Manchester United fans is that Trekkies never trashed a train carriage. So why are the Trekkies the social outcasts?"

In addition to both Guinan and Bones mentioned so far...
Dr Boyce. 'the Cage' (Who coined the 'You tell your bartender' quote in Trek...)
Dr Elizabeth Dehner 'Where no man has gone before'.
Quark.
Dr Sigmund Freud (holographic)
Neelix
the EMH.
Dr Phlox
To be honest while we are talking about counsellors, Ezri wouldn't be my choice, precisely for the reasosn most of you guys want to visit her. Freud is dated, Quark would be too busy trying to find an angle on your problems to make profit, the EMH would have a terrible couch manner. And Dr Tanner is way to powerful since sharing Gary Mitchells powers.
That leaves Phlox, Boyce, Bones, Troi, Guinan and Neelix. All of whom would make me comfortable with their councelling. Which I suppose makes the Enterprise the most mentally stable ship in the fleet... Which matches much of what I hear/read about our games...

I voted for Troi, but I reserve the right to change my vote once I get to see DS9's seventh season again. I can't remember enough of Ezri (except that she's easy on the eyes).

Sisko: Why are you standing on your head?
Ezri: Emony used to do it. She said it helped her relax.
Sisko: Does it help you relax.
Ezri: No, actually... (groans in pain) it's giving me a headache.
OR THIS:
Ezri: (takes a sip from her cup, splutters) Ugh... I hate raktajino.
Jake: Then why'd you order it?
Ezri: Because... Curzon liked it.
