But the PoF one, being not only ugly, isn't what the Niagara looks like... it is on screen.

I am sorry, but that wasn't neccesarily an answer my question. I wanted to know what you think of my stats for the design.

I beg to differ. Are we talking about the same design? I refer to the one that looks like a smaller version of the Galaxy class. I don't see this ship as ugly.
And I'm quite sure that the only ship to feature three nacelles was the Future's Enterprise in TNG episode "All Good Things". In what episode do you think the Niagara class was on screen?

Best of Both Worlds, Part 2 - it's one of the wercked ships at Wolf 359. See http://www.trekmania.net/art/niagara_class.htm for example.

Today I have looked it up in my copy of the Star Trek Encyclopidia and the Niagara class entry didn't mention an on-screen appearence in Best Of Both Worlds.

Usualy they did mention it when a ship (even an unfinished or study model was shown in the graveyard scene (for example the New Orleans class).

Okay, you have shown pictures but you've to admit that if you just see the on-screen shot, you wouldn't know about the third nacelle

In my corner of the ST universe there are no three nacelle designs

BTW that is again not an answer to my question: What do you think of the stats I made for the given design. Which can be seen BTW here: http://steve.pugh.net/fleet/images/LUG_niagara.jpg

Regarding the design: I didn't know the LUG Niagra class was capable of saucer separation. Does it say so in the original text? I don't think the nature of the Niagra's missions justifies seperation systems, besides, it is only half as long as a Galaxy, so by splitting it up, you will probably do more ill than good.

Apart from that, I like it. Not overpowered, but still cool.

    Thank you, Ergi...
I have given it an emergency seperation system just like the original Enterprise was said to have. So that in case of an emergency you could evacuate all personell to the saucer section. It's more of a one shot thing. The costs in SU reflects that as well. It is not mentioned in the LUG discription that she was capable of seperation. I added that because the Constitution class of earlier days had one and the bigger version (Galaxy class) later would have a real sep system capable of repeated use.
