Notes: I see this design as being a scaled-down version of the D'Deridex, introduced right between the movie and TNG eras. Like the D'Deridex it is a potent multi-role vessel. One glaring weakness that I've introduced on purpose are the shields: their protection rating is very low, making the Genorax very easy to hit (although their treshold value is quite good) and the shields themselves will break down easily in a fight. That is why the Genorax is used more as a second-line ship, often as an exploratory cruiser. That would also explain partly why we tend to see a lot of D'deridex battleships instead. I'd venture that the Romulans lost a lot of Genorax cruisers in the Dominion war.
