Yes its all guesswork. I came up with my own WEG-LUG capital weapon conversion chart though:
10D dmg WEG= 30 Dmg LUG (ie. a Quantum torpedo)
6D+2 dmg WEG= 20 Dmg LUG (ie. Type X Phasers)
Essentially multiply the WEG die code by three and add any pips (+1 or +2) to get the
LUG equivalent. Anyone want the Death Star? Essentially this is a WEG to basic LUG convert.

Notes: *The ion cannons do not deplete the structural
points of a ship. They drain shields which are -5 to power against and when the shields are defeated ion cannons deplete a ships power and can wreak havoc to helm control, targetting and any other functions on a ship requiring power.
The Superlaser can only fire when fully charged. The Death Star power generators can generate 3750 energy per minute up to 30000. The Death Stars power reactor can only sustain three 30000 energy superlaser shots in a 24hr period without damaging
the generators.
NOTE: This design is practically impossible to destroy
on the outside (unless there is another Death Star!) and is way imbalanced IMHO even though I never tried it for gameplay.
One shot from the superlaser is enough to destroy
any ship on a low setting to entire planets on high
settings. DS9 for example an immobile target would be destroyed easily(barring saving from the Prophets).

Description and Notes:
The backbone of the former Imperial Galactic Empire. *Ion cannons do not damage the hull but instead drain the sheilds (opposing ship sheilds -5 to power against) and when shields are gone they drain the ships power and can cause system damage. (Other interpretations may prefer the shields to be useless versus ion weapons). Has a backup hyperdrive system if main one is destroyed or badly damaged but multiply time to destination x4. Carries 72 TIE-class starfighters, 36-48 TIEs (T/F), 12-24 TIE Interceptors (T/I), 12 TIE Bombers (T/B) typical fighter wing. 8 Lambda shuttles, 15 Stormtrooper Transports, 5 Assault Gunboats, a pre-fab Garrison, 12 landing barges, 20 AT-AT and 30 AT-ST. Main ventral docking bay can hold a ship up to 180m long for boarding actions. A skeleton crew aboard a Star Destroyer is estimated to be at least 5000 to operate it but impose skill penalties where applicable. An Imperial Garrison has anywhere from 800-1000
Stormtroopers. Stats based from WEG interpretation of ISD. *Some ISDs are known to carry concussion missiles as well but have a short range. This version was upgraded
to reflect an ISD attack against DS9 as per DS9 stats reflected in the DS9 corebook. An ISD is larger and has more bulk than DS9. The Imperator II class has upgraded weapons; Heavy TLs equivalent 30 LUG damage, another set of TLs equivalent to 21 LUG dmg, and ion cannons have a 12 dmg rating. The newer class has more armor (up SPs a bit 430 and hull resistance of 5) but a lower deflector
shield rating of 120.
Weyoun101 from John's old site http://home.austin.rr.com/jdominion/ and Weyoun 11 are one in the same so yes a lot of the converts were "interpreted" by me but I never playtested these behemoths. A player that did though mentioned he locked a Fed ship with his ISD tractor beam and hit him with ion shots and well you get the picture. His group had fun so as mentioned many a time in RPGs just fudge it. I do prefer Spacedock's depth though as opposed to the basic system but don't ask for me to make any converts for that!
I am also looking for other interpretations of the non-cannon Trek ships from the PC Trek games like Birth of the Federation, Armada, and Dominion Wars.

Thanks for the Star Wars stats, I really like them!
-
Point taken, seeing its all just conjecture anyway.
-
The stats for the Andromeda and other Commonwealth vessels are still in the playtesting stage (a fancy way of saying that I'm still writing them.)
They are so far a modified (less detailed) form of Spacedock.
Certain issues have come up with regards to the different types of technologies. For instance; slipstream as opposed to warp, no forcefields, no weaponry faster than the speed of light, combat IN the slipstream (sources say no, but I think I've seen it done in one episode).
So for those of you still waiting, be patient. The stats will be posted in General Chat.
