I agree. The board is for general communication and for when everyone is actually present or knowledgeable.

I apologize if my unilateral action has made anyone unhappy.

    Who's on the Vanguard?

So let's keep it amoung the Vanguard crew for now, ie. in email.

And the Romulans on Vanguard, that's what caused this problem in the first place.

Who on the email list is on Vanguard?

Okay lets kick this sim into overdrive!

I shall email the Narrator my exact postion. And he can compare it ti your travel time/repair times etc.

I'll be fair, we're about x hours away from the system

Where x is the square root of my current post total

Seriously though I'll talk to my people (Sevekk?) and Robbert.

I will NOT be able to rejoin this merry band and continue the Romulan drive for success.

    Sorry.

Too bad, it's always fun to have more PCs . . . however, I am deeply concerned about the long term survivability of this GAME if we have two camps that will constantly fight and what not. There needs to be only one crew, one command, one plot line if we are to survive, IMO.

But hey, this is going very well . . . so I shan't complain no more.

    CAG out.

    For GAME survival

I'd suggest ditching the other Romulan ship, making SIG another rescuee from Star Runner, and then having the two crews work together on getting home. Of course they'll need to work out whos home to go to...

And it naturally wouldn't be as simple as just going back the way we came.

Keep in mind the away team, or teams since Seylar would probable send down more than one for a planetary survey. Only one contacted anybody, but I'd bet a good part of the science department is down there doing their own things.

    Angry what?

As 'Koik' once said, "waidaminit, waidaminit!"

Please let us not change the game in the middle of play. Get home from what? The Romulan Star Empire is, for practical purposes, just over the hill. Now, if you want to turn this into one of those semi-confrontation things where the two sorta-enemies orbit over the unknown object while the crews compete to investigate/steal/figure it out, I can go along with that- maybe. But the original intent here is Akira vs D'Deridex Part Deux. Whatever we do here, the Romulans and the Federation are in competition for a very, very valuable prize. Let's keep it that way.

I agree with commander Powers, we can't go changing the original idea. We're going to find out how the Vanguard holds up against another D'Deridex.

Oh, we could change the original idea and turn this into a pure PBEM, without heading for the inevitable AvD rematch, but only if all of us agreed to that. As long as that doesn't happen you are right - we can't change much if anything of the concept we started out with.

But if and when the USS Vanguard has survived the upcoming confrontation with Commander Sigimus I would be interested in continuing this game as a PBEM without big, drawn-out combat sims.

    Talking

Sure. No telling how this might turn out- after we kick the Romulan's butt, that is.
