Where are they now!

I was reading through the TV Schedules for next week and I saw a familiar name being listed as a guest star on a BBC TV series next week, so it got me thinking about all other favourite Star Trek Stars and what they are doing now in terms of film, TV and Theatre projects.

The familiar name was Alexander Siddig aka Dr Julian Bashier, he is quest staring in a BBC TV series called Spooks, which is about MI5, the story line has Alexander infiltrating a Mosque run by a group of Moslem Extremists who are planning a suicide bombing campaign in the UK.

Does anyone else have any news about what other projects other actors are doing?

As a fellow Brit, you can get the Star trek Monthly mag, which always holds the feature 'Mirror, Mirror', this trawls through each Star trek alumni current projects...

Along with news, where are they now, adverts and many other features, you can get a pretty decent idea of who's where...

The Vast Majority are prepping for the Summer convention season, or attending premiers... I also imagine that some of the regulars will be providing some voice talent for the upcoming Elite Force II, and several are regulars directing Enterprise epiosdes (Roxanne Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill and Levar Burton all spring to mind)

3 are filming 24. Daniel Dae Kim, Michelle Forbes and Penny Johnson.

Patrick Stewart is running a one-man show in theatre in Malvern, Worcestershire (dont go in uniform...)

John Billingsly is trying to set up a world-wide, online book club.

...and now I get to the list of 'other projects from this month...

George Takai (who serves a decent pint of Guiness) and Majel Barrett were paying tribute to Motion Picture director Robert Wise.

Levar Burton is nominated for an Emmy for his PBS Childrens Show Reading Rainbow

Avery Brooks is taking to the stage for a civil rights movement play about Paul Robeson (returning to the same role he was aclaimed for in the 1980's)

Chase Masterson is sueing Matchmaker.com

Penny Johnson and George takai are in negotions for a telefilm about 9/11

Robert Duncan McNeill is to direct several episodes of The Dead Zone (see an earlier thread by me about how cool that show is with its sci-fi pedegree), Michael Pillar of TNG production team produces...

Rob Picardo is joining the number of TNG AI's to release a music CD, a CD full of comedy songs... He will rib TV from Trek to Sopranos (in a XMAS song). Ethan Phillips, Tim Russ and Nichelle Nichols will guest...
(I just hope that Tim doesn't play guitar and Nichelle doesn't sing... Please god no...)

Scott Bakula has been making public services announcements for Shriners Hospitals. "Does a lotta work for charity, doesn't wanna talk about it."

Garrett Wang was the surprised guest at Jeri Ryans birthday party in feb (gotta get work where you can ensign).
Oh Wait... that should be 'was one of many guests at Jeri Ryans surprise birthday party.'

Jeffery Combs, the man of many psychopaths, is set to play a hypochondriac in an episode of The Twilight Zone...

and then we have Shatner and others writing novels, some trek, some not... Watch the author lists...

I know this is a silly question, mainly because I do remember the name from somewhere (Trek), but who is Chase Masterson? And why is she sueing that company?

Guys,

I thought I would give up an update on Alexander Siddig's latest role in the BBC TV series Spooks, basically his character died heroically while trying to stop a sucide bombing.

However, the storyline caused a load of complaints, read here: -

I actually saw this episode (I caught about one episode in three throughout the year) -- and it was about as close to the Twilight Zone of Rod Serling as this incarnation ever got. Combs did a good job, and the plot was interesting.

According to her fan club site:

31st October 2000

Actress Claims She Was Victim Of Online Hoax

Chase Masterson, a regular on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series, has sued the online dating service Matchmaker.com, its parent company, Lycos, and several John Does after a bogus profile of her appeared on the dating service. In it the fake Masterson invited users of the site to spend a one-night stand with her and said she particularly wanted someone who could be "hard and dominant in more ways than one." Masterson said that Matchmaker refused to remove the offending message because she was not the one who posted it. She further claimed it attracted numerous lewd phone calls and faxes, putting her in fear for her life and safety.

As a side note, I've also seen the lovely Chase on a DVD cover in my local sci-fi store. It's called "Advanced Warriors" and features a buncha leatherclad, fit-looking but hardly scary people (of whom Chase is one) sporting high-tech weapons. I think it's one of these interactive things where you decide how the battles go. I shall leave the summary to the great Homer Simpson:

"Strap yourselves in and FEEL THE CHEESE!!!"

(BTW, is anyone else worried about the state of our society when an online poll of "The Greatest American Ever" was won by Homer? )
"That might have been the biggest mistake of my life..."

"It is unlikely. I predict there is scope for even greater mistakes in the future given your obvious talent for them."

I have also just found out that William Shatner is currently being sued by his ex-wife over a matter of Stud Horse Semen.

Apparently he has it, and she deserves half of it.

It sounds like the opener for a ji=oke, but as far as I know, it is indeed true...

Cool

I think Jay Leno already did the joke in his past monologue.

That may well be, but not in this country he didn't...

The only time he has appeared on TV's in the UK is when we have 'Space Cowboys' being aired...
